Héritier Tipo

Profile

From Molenbeek to Ketnet, Milo, SPIT and Bozar: the trajectory, the way of working and his own words.

Héritier Tipo is an actor, host, voice artist, singer and dancer based in Brussels. He carries fiction, daily television and live events: in Dutch and in French, for Ketnet (VRT), VTM and SPIT (RTBF).

Audiences know him as Otis Verhelst in Milo and as the face of Ketnet; in cinemas his voice carries the Flemish versions of major animated films. On the music side he is working on his own project. Set, booth and stage.

Brussels as home base, the language border as his playing field: live and on set, often on the same day.

Trajectory

01

From first internships in Brussels to fiction, daily television, cinema and stage, in Dutch and French.

2018 – 2022

Studies, internships and the first years in front of the camera

Héritier Tipo reads Organisation & Management at Erasmus University College Brussels and does his internships at the heart of the Brussels institutions: the Council of the VGC (2019-2020) and the Brussels Parliament, in the Communications and Multilingualism unit (2022). In parallel he is spotted as a model: first shoots for Puma × Rhude, JBC and Sennheiser, soon campaigns for IKEA, Proximus, Coca-Cola and Guess.

2021 – 2022

From the VRT promo team to daily Ketnet

From July 2021 he is part of the VRT promo team: on location, on shopping streets, in spots. In 2022 he is selected from more than four thousand candidates in Wie wordt wrapper? and becomes the first Ketnet wrapper from the Brussels-Capital Region. Until early 2025, more than three years after his start at VRT, he is the daily face of the children's channel: presenting live, side by side with editors and directors, with a tone that speaks to children without ever patronising them, at a pace that has to be sharp every single morning.

Breakthrough in fiction: Otis Verhelst in Milo

In 2023 he was cast as Otis Verhelst in the VTM prime-time series Milo. Almost 300 episodes, aired in 2024 and 2025. The show also spawned a comic-book series, Milo – de strip, at Standaard Uitgeverij. With No Direction, the band from the show, he released soundtrack albums on CNR Records and played Genk On Stage (2024) and Lokerse Feesten (2025), alongside a solo track as Otis Verhelst, Verder gaan. Fiction, music and daily hosting ran side by side, in Dutch.

2024

Everything at once: cinema, books, ambassador

2024 is the year everything lands at once. He voices roles for the cinema: Wolf Baas in Kung Fu Panda 4 (Flemish version), after Raphael in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (2023); in late 2025 he returns as Raphael in Lost in New Jersey. He co-authored Het Ketnet Vriendenboek (Pelckmans, 2023) and Het Geniale Ketnet Zomerboek (Pelckmans, 2024), sang on the Ketnet Christmas single, hosted Stories, and fronted Ketnet Halloween at Plopsaland and the Studio 100 Pop-Up. Since July 2023 he has also been one of five official Brussels ambassadors.

2025

Then, in French, for RTBF

In early 2025 he rounds off his Ketnet years and deliberately opens a new chapter. That summer he was chosen as the new host of SPIT, RTBF's youth brand: the same job, a different language, a different audience. Since then he hosts in French, online and on television, and works as editor-host at production house De Mensen. One of the few Belgian presenters with both VRT and RTBF on his record.

2026

New fiction, cinema, stage and youth work

What gets added, stays. His first cinema role: Juma in Bittersweet Sixteen (2021). In the crime series 96 Frames (2025) he plays Spitter, a regular role across all six episodes, and in Ève Duchemin's French-language feature Temps mort (2023) he appears on screen. In 2026 he hosts Campus Toerist for Odisee University College, the bilingual Bozar SING school concerts, and as Crelan Creator he is the face of the bank's creator campaign. Alongside all that he is developing his own music and gives workshops and guest lessons: school visits for Damien Action and Kunstendag voor Kinderen, mentoring at Filem’On, songwriting events.

How he works

02

One point of contact, from the first idea to the final frame. For broadcasters, brands, festivals, cultural venues and schools.

  1. 01

    The conversation

Every collaboration starts with listening. What do you want to say, to whom and why? In a first conversation he helps sharpen the brief, and it becomes clear what the project needs: a full production with his own creative crew, or a strong face and voice within a concept that is already in place.

  2. 02

    The proposal

Then comes a clear proposal: angle, role, schedule, locations and references from previous work, refined together until every detail is right. Fiction and voice run through Agence AML, media and brands through MATIA Agency; hosting, events and workshops can also be booked directly.

  3. 03

    The preparation

Learning the script, getting under the skin of the character or format, rehearsing. He arrives on set prepared, in Dutch, French or English, and switches between languages on the same day when the project calls for it.

  4. 04

    The day itself

On set, in the studio, live on stage or in front of a class: he brings energy, timing and the experience of daily television and years of live hosting. With his own crew or seamlessly embedded in the client’s production.

  5. 05

    The result

Delivery with everything that comes with it: voice-over, social content, follow-up posts and a short debrief. He stays involved until the project is truly finished, and is happy to think ahead about what comes next.
